Violinist Jeremy Rhizor is a student of Professor Oleh Krysa at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Music. He is a native of Las Vegas, NV. He is the concertmaster and a founding member of Eastman’s conductor-less chamber orchestra Ensemble Orange. During the academic year, he performs frequently as concertmaster of other Eastman ensembles which have included the Eastman Philharmonia and the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Professor Neil Varon as well as the New Eastman Outreach Orchestra. He is the leader of Eastman’s early music ensemble Collegium Musicum directed by Paul O’Dette and Christel Thielmann. He extensively performs with various chamber ensembles in recital. In past years, he appeared as a guest soloist with the Nevada Chamber Symphony and the Henderson Civic Symphony. For four consecutive years Jeremy participated in the National Symphony Orchestra’s Summer Music Institute in Washington, D.C. receiving the Levine Award in 2009.
